The Red Tent by Anita Diamant is a fabulous book and a real tear jerker.

It is about Dinah who is the daughter of Jacob in the Book of Genesis.
It is narrated by Dinah, from her upbringing by the four wives of Jacob, to her growth into one of the most influential women of her time.
This story just has it all and shows the love between women. A real sisterhood.
Everyone I know who has read this book just loves it and you just don't want the book to end.

Another very good book is Journey into Nature by Michael J Roads.

It is about Michaels journey as he enters the Guidestone and encounters the power gates. He meets Pan as his guide and takes many journeys connecting with water, plants and the Dolphin.
It will keep you mesmerised from start to finish.

Many Blessings

Ok! I've read this book now - thanks Hippybabe- and I think I'm in two minds about it...
It's a great story of the strength of one women and how this strength is nurtured by the other strong women in her life. That's not saying these women are perfect, it's through their faults that strength is gained. So yeah! I like the idea of strong women, self empowerment and creating a destiny.
But... I'm not so sure about basing this novel on biblical characters. Is it right for someone to surmise the motives of these people? I wonder how this book was received by the Jewish community and followers of the Old Testament. Most of the men are portrayed as quite weak and with serious character flaws.
For me this story would have worked better if they were just anonymous people!
And I was disappointed to read that they didn't really use a "red tent"!!
